This is an oil painting of Keith Richards. Like Bob Dylan, Keith Richards is very interesting to paint, his aged skin and expression show the signs of a man that has enjoyed his life! I might paint Mick Jagger someday. The canvas measures 60 x 45cm.

Lovely stuff...absolutely.Just one question do you do all your stuff in monotone....again a fantastic blog...
ReplyDeleteHi thanks Bridie, yeah pretty much everything I do it monotone for the moment anyway. I have experimented a little with color and I hope to do more but I am actually color blind as are my two brothers which makes it difficult & frustrating to work with color specially with realism. But I really admire people who can achieve photo realistic paintings in color its an amazing talent and something I would love to be able to do...
ReplyDeleteamazng story.I think its amazing how people can achieve photo realistic paintings, full stop,,,with or without colour. great work...
