Keith Richards Acrylic Painting

Here is my first painting of the year I went back to using acrylics for this one and they have really worked well for this painting and I have enjoyed the different process that comes with working with acrylics its a change from oils and it brings different possibilities. I have been reading Keith Richards autobiography while doing this painting as well as having the rolling stone recent greatest hits on repeat for the whole duration of the painting so its been a really enjoyable process.

Born in the USA

Here is my latest painting of Bruce Springsteen. This is the 11th time to paint the Boss, this is from the 80's around the time of  'Born in the USA' was released.  This is the first Bruce Springsteen music I would have heard as a kid and that's why I really wanted to do this painting.

'Metallica Live' 76x61cm Acrylic painting

Here is latest painting of Metallica front man James Hetfield. Once again I have used acrylics for this piece I am really enjoying them at the moment and doing alot of experimenting.

I tried to layer this painting alot which gives a pretty cool effect and acrylics are perfect for it. Also I continue to bring more and more color into my work and keep learning.

Color adds a whole new dimension to the painting process which I am really enjoying.

Here is two new acrylic paintings of Manchester united legend Eric Cantona. I really enjoyed doing these two paintings and introducing a lot of color into my work.

I am sticking with the acrylics for now as I like the direction there taking me, especially with my last few paintings, Boy Dylan and Dave Grohl, my work is starting to get much looser and I am enjoying it a lot more! dave
